Annick - nearly one whole year old!
- nodding and saying 'yeah'
- maybe even saying 'bain'!
- lots of animal sounds, especially 'woof woof'
- another cold with the change in the weather
- walking along on her own behind a little pushcar
- pointy pointy point
- lots and lots of '...MWAH!' kisses.
Luca
- all clear from the speech pathologist on his language skills: good talking and listening Luca!
- sadly caught Annick's cold
- having almost coherent conversations with mama over the phone
Mama: Hello?
Luca: (silence)
Mama: Hello?
Luca: I has a measuring tape!
Mama: Wow, that's nice! What are you measuring?
Luca: I measuring... tape.
Mama: Erm... OK. Are you measuring anything else?
(muffled prompting in background)
Luca: ...I measuring table
Mama: How long is the table?
Luca: Four... two... seven... kilos!
- favourite toys at the moment: duplo (still), aeroplanes, boxes he can put stuff in
- whenever someone laughs, demands to know "what is funny mama? WHAT IS FUNNY?"
- knows his birthday is coming and is in denial that Annick's comes first
Also this fortnight, mama returns to work :(

Meanwhile, Luca is still all about the duplo. When asked what he would like for his birthday, he says, "more duplo. And a kitchen for cooking."
Fingers and papa are both still very important.

Annick is also very interested in shoes and tries to put mama's, papa's and Luca's on whenever she has the chance. So mama took out her very own Nonno Shoes and they fit!
Annick's birthday cake! Mama might have forgotten to take photos at her special early birthday party, but at least you now know what the cake looked like. Guess which bit Luca helped with!
