Kelpy Dan burst onto the scene with his debut album, 'Yeti of the Sea', which included his breakout hit, 'Seaweed Down My Wetsuit'. His green and salty style, and equally salty language, made his mark in the music world.

Kelpy Dan's early collaborators were fish-tailed pop vamps Mermaid Madness, who complemented Kelpy Dan's briny sound with ululating throat singing and the rhythmic slap of dead herring.
Kelpy Dan's second album was a collaboration with a newly expanded Mermaid Madness, although in an ill-advised switch to death metal and the loss of Kelpy Dan's trademark kelpy locks. The album was a critical and commercial failure, but is regarded by fans today as an undiscovered work of genius.
In an attempt to rediscover his former glory, Kelpy Dan changed his image again, modelling himself as the 'Antipodean Michael Buble'. This album has been his hugest to date, gaining him new audiences of older women, cafe owners and other stuffed monkeys made out of colourful foot accessories.
