Annick - 44 weeks, Luca - nearly 34 months

Annick:
- awesome pulling to standing!
- a chatty little monkey
- says 'mama' a lot, on occasion 'papa'
- mini little drama queen
- sleeping through the night
- starting creche

Luca:
- awesome language skills coming along!  Conjunctions, pronouns, prepositions!
- some weird picky eating kick
- still all about the Duplo
- dropping his daytime nap and being cranky about it
- starting at a new creche with Annick
- shrieky

Papa and Luca and Ah Kong go to the Air Show and get to go inside an old plane!

Un beau apres-midi a Melbourne.

This lovely busker has instruments out for little kids to get down and boogie - which is exactly what Annick did (Luca spent most of the time arranging the tambourines in a pleasing design).

Just hanging with my dad.

 Le beau garcon.

Annick helps papa set up the new carosse and practises standing up at the same time - MULTITASKING WIN.

The helmet is a little big.

Luca's favourite past-time.

He's all eyelashes and teeth.

Playing together.

Portrait of mama and baby and hand.

Ah Kong tastes Luca's delicious cooking.

Thank you Ah Kong for the awesome trailer!

She ate a whole bowl of tau fu fa HERSELF.

Story time!

Annick - 42 weeks, Luca - 33 months

Annick:
- adorably giggly
- bites as a defence mechanism
- really getting around now!  Particularly likes getting into the things she's not supposed to (OF COURSE)
- pulling to standing really well
- STILL eating like a champion

Luca:
- running headlong into the terrible twos
- shrieking!
- loves Annick but is mean to her when she touches 'his' stuff
- not much of an eater these days, but expending lots of energy exploring the world, so getting a bit skinny and losing his toddler fat
- LOVES DUPLO
- is very into princesses at the moment.
- favourite books: 'Les Avions', 'Where's the Bus?', "Monkey Blue, Monkey Red'

They have also moved into their own room together (with Jemima too of course).

They usually play together by Annick finding something fun to do (for example as here, playing in her garden) and Luca interfering, then all hell breaking loose.

Although on occasion they maintain their own little worlds and peace comes to the house.

Otherwise Luca is all about the DUPLO.

Merci Nonna pour le beau train!

Annick has broader horizons.

La petite explorateuse.

The clown pool made a return, although Annick is definitely not sure about the clown.

We went to the museum!  Ooh, mirrors!

Giant echidnas!

Dinosaur lunch boxes!

Mama and Luca also made a cake - the coca cola cake from Nigella Lawson's How to be a Domestic Goddess, mostly because it pretty much just involves stirring.  We don't recommend it for eating purposes however, it was a bit crap.

This is usually how mealtimes look.

This is usually how Annick looks at mealtimes.

RRRRRRRARRRGH!
Although really, she is pretty cheerful.

And she LOVES glasses.  With her genetic background, she'd better.

Finally, here are papa and Annick on the tram.  Sunny!

Nonna en Australie - part 5

Nonna's last week in Australia was full of sunshine.

We went for a caleche ride through the gardens and there were lots of palmiers!

All yellow nappy play time.

Nonna and Luca make some delicious playdough gnocchi and maccheroni.

Back to DOC Espresso for arancini and lasagne!

Nonna and Luca read lots and lots of books together.

And did lots and lots of cycling together.

Girl power!

Beau chapeau Nonna!

A snack at Europa.

But again!  At the airport - the valets push the luggage.

Bye bye Nonna - merci pour tout!!!

A final coco bong :(

But at home - a surprise from Nonna!  Stickers and jam!!  Merci pour les BEAUX CADEAUX.

Et le petit foulard!
